How to get to Ba Be

We highly recommend runners choose the 3-day-race package as Ba Be National Park remains a remote area which means that arranging accommodations and travelling within the park are quite difficult and hard to find.

The 3-day package already includes roundtrip transfer from Hanoi to the Ba Be National Park and vice versa, shuttle transfer from “Spring Festival” ground to the starting point of each trail, meals and accommodation.

If you choose a non-package program, please note carefully the starting time of each trail. Following are some useful information that you can save for your reference to schedule your own suitable travel arrangements.

Private transportation included in 3-day-race package

Our car will depart at 07:00AM - 08:00AM, on Saturday October 02nd 2021.

Location: Hanoi Opera House – 01 Trang Tien, Phan Chu Trinh, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. There will be a break on the way to Ba Be for runners to rest and have breakfast.

Public transportation to Ba Be National Park

Ba Be National Park is located in Ba Be district of Bac Kan province. For more information about the starting point location at “Spring Festival” ground, click HERE.

Please note that the marathon race is held in a remote area. You can travel by local bus run daily from Hanoi - Ba Be from My Dinh bus station. On arriving at Ba Be, the bus will drop you off right at the National Park gate, from there you will have to find a smaller type of transportation such as taxi or motorbike taxi to transfer to your scheduled accommodation. Please note that the number of buses running daily to Ba Be is very limited so you have to check on this very carefully. On the race day, you will have to transfer to “Spring Festival” ground on your own, from there we will provide shuttle transfer to the starting point at fixed time for each trail. Therefore, choosing the 3-day package is the easiest option to save your time to join the race.
